Intuit Buys Homestead Technologies for $170M

Intuit, the company behind QuickBooks, Quicken and TurboTax software, has acquired Homestead Technologies for about $170 million. As Homestead offers website creation tools and other e-commerce and marketing products made for online use, the combination of Intuit and Homestead will present opportunities for Homestead’s technologies to be used for small businesses both internally
